ALETHA
Lydia (Aletha) hails from Manchester but with strong roots in Leeds & Liverpool, she began her DJ career as a regular contributor to radio for the likes of NTS, Jazz FM and Melodic Distraction. Her eclectic and intriguing track selections and mixes have led to regular residencies for some of the best stations in the UK including Rinse FM and Worldwide FM. As the radio audiences grew, so did her contact list as tastemakers and promoters began booking Aletha for clubs across the UK including support slots for the likes of Bradley Zero, Mr. Scruff and Zakia. Her genre-blending sets plus a versatile and impressive mixing style was quickly picked up by some of the biggest brands including a residency for The Warehouse Project in her hometown of Manchester.
If 2022 was about building presence, 2023 has been about breaking through; with Fabric, Printworks and Beams added to an impressive gig list including invites on to Denis Sulta’s Sulta Selects show, Honey Dijon’s Southbank showcase and The Warehouse Projects international debut in Rotterdam. As well as a busy schedule across Europe and beyond, 2023 has included the sell-out launch of her own night CITRIC.
This summer a packed-out set at Glastonbury was followed by a special B2B with Amaliah on the main garden stage at Love International, Croatia with other summer festival appearances including Dimensions, Parklife and Lost Village to name just a few. With plans for another CITRIC show, a debut track release, and a busy calendar of shows, 2023 looks set to be the year that ALETHA is widely-accepted as one of the finest DJs in the club scene.
